    Description

    Our prestigious partner, the Ministry of Defence collaborator in the UK, is in search of a skilled Internal Communications Officer to join their dynamic team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in internal communications within a multifaceted organization, allowing you to further develop and showcase your skills.

    As an Internal Communications Officer, you will collaborate with a dispersed team spanning the UK, Italy, and France to ensure that 15,000 colleagues stay well-informed, connected, and motivated. Your responsibilities will extend to partnering with Communications colleagues to elevate the brand image of our client and their associates.

    Requirements:

    • Significant prior experience in internal communications or a related field.
    • Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executives, and to navigate diverse cultural environments.
    • Strong planning skills with a knack for adjusting strategies in response to evolving situations.
    • Exceptional written communication abilities, including creating content across various platforms.
    • Familiarity with editorial and publishing processes.
    • Capacity to implement process enhancements that streamline operations.
    • Drive short-term advancements aligned with long-term goals.
    • Dedication to follow through on initiatives, coupled with a passion for learning and innovation.
    • Preferably affiliated with a professional body such as IoIC/CIPR.

    Responsibilities of an Internal Communications Officer:

    In this capacity, you will collaborate with colleagues in the UK, France, Italy, and Germany to forge strong interdepartmental relationships and assist stakeholders in sharing their initiatives throughout the organization. As a successful candidate, you will devise comprehensive communication strategies, counsel, and tactics, all while remaining agile in adapting to changing circumstances and keeping long-term objectives in focus.

    To excel in this role, you should excel at simplifying intricate information for universal understanding and be adept at producing engaging content across diverse mediums. Moreover, you must exhibit a keen interest in assessing your impact and bringing innovative perspectives to enhance our internal communication efforts, ensuring our workforce remains informed, engaged, and united under the MBDA banner.

    The ideal candidate will operate within an international team dedicated to revolutionizing our internal communication methodologies.     This role is stationed at our headquarters in Stevenage, a pivotal hub for missile operations. The location boasts excellent transport links and onsite amenities like a gym and coffee shop, while also offering comprehensive training and development opportunities to all staff members.
