We are skilled in designing sustainable Drainage Designs, Foul and Surface Water drainage designs, and developing Hydraulic River Modelling.
A key element of the role will be undertaking foul and surface water drainage strategies in conjunction with preparing Flood Risk Assessments.
A good understanding of drainage design and hydraulic modelling is important for this role.An understanding of the design process from inception to construction of drainage and flood alleviation schemes will be critical in discharging your duties in this role.

Prepare Flood Risk Assessments
# Preparation of foul and surface water drainage strategies
# Produce conceptual design of flood protection measures
# This could involve your development and or checking of Drainage Strategies, Flood Risk Assessments, the production or checking of design calculations, scheme details, and drawings. You will compile or assist in the production of technical specifications and general project information.
Part of the day-to-day work may also include the management and supervision of schemes of varying size, developing, and agreeing design fundamentals with other members of the project team, the development of fee proposals and assisting less experienced members of staff with technical problems.
Occasionally you will need to undertake site visits / inspections, represent the company at meetings and liaise with external project team members to meet project deadlines.
The role will be suited to an existing Flood Risk / Drainage Design Engineer who is looking to get support and development in their career.
Ideally you will have a degree in Civil Engineering or related science and interested in progressing towards Chartership.Well versed in the preparation of drawings for Flood Risk Assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.
Have experience in Drainage Strategies and SuDs
Be experienced in Surface Water Drainage Strategies
Have an excellent understanding and working understanding of Flow and Microdrainage software packages
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD OR Civils 3D.
