About Service Line Head
Anne-Marie Welch, Head of Employer Solutions Tax: "I moved to RSM (Baker Tilly at the time) a decade ago after having spent most of my career up until then at the Big 4, and the difference is huge. At RSM there is a fantastic sense of everyone working to get the best out of each other and support one another's careers, whether they're a new graduate or someone working towards becoming a partner. There is a massive variety of work and clients to get involved in and in my experience of RSM everyone has the opportunity to be part of whatever interests them most and push their career in the direction they want. I am a big believer in developing talent and RSM's grow our own approach resonates strongly with me; it is a point of personal pride to see people I have worked with for years making great strides in their careers as a direct result of the nurturing environment at RSM. It's been an added privilege for me as a national service line head in recent years to see this happening nationally on an even bigger scale.
In my mind, RSM has consistently proven it is an excellent place for someone to develop their career, whatever stage they are at or their circumstances."

Diverse teams bring a broader range of ideas and insights to work. That's why we're working together to ensure our firm's principles and processes support a firm culture that embraces difference and strengthens inclusion.
At RSM we work hard to create an environment where our people can make a difference - to themselves, their career, their teams, and to the success of our firm and clients. Employment Tax Associate Director - Crawley, United Kingdom - RSM
Description
As one of the world's largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions -- we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.About the department
Within the National Employer Solutions Service Line, you'll work within a strong and growing team of Employer Solutions specialists including our Employment Tax, Global Mobility and Share Scheme experts. We service clients across a variety of business types and industries, including start-up enterprises, mid-market organisations, public sector bodies and large corporations. We work closely with colleagues across the firm to provide a joined-up service, combining expertise in accounting, audit and all relevant taxes.
When you become part of our team, you'll discover a culture celebrating individuality, fresh thinking, flexibility and collaboration, whilst not only embracing change but impacting it. We're simply not a one-size-fits-all firm and work hard to create an environment where our people can make a difference - to themselves, their career, their teams, and to the success of RSM and our clients. As Ali Sapsford (our Head of Tax) states, "personality and fun are as big a part of our culture as is our passion for delivering a premium service to our clients... That sense of team is what attracts clients and staff alike to RSM, and it's one of the things I love about RSM"
"I joined RSM as a paralegal four years ago and quickly realised the Employer Solutions team offered great progression with plenty of opportunities to get involved in interesting work. I've been encouraged to work with a broad variety of clients across a range of industries, enabled by an incredibly supportive team with a wealth of experience and very high standards. Due to the open culture at RSM, I've had the opportunity to build strong relationships and work collaboratively not only locally, but nationally across different service lines which has helped develop my technical knowledge. I also regularly work on projects with RSM international firms which has provided great exposure and I'm proud of my career progression since joining RSM. The opportunities aren't limited to the day job, and I've been able to get involved in fundraising, CSR and grad recruitment - dinner at the House of Lords has also been a highlight"
About the role
As a result of the continually growing demand for our specialist services, we are looking for an individual to join our expanding National Employer Solutions Team and wider People Advisory Service Group, as an Associate Director.
We are looking for a self-starting individual who is happy with responsibility, wants to work in a dynamic environment and has the flexibility to take the lead, managing multiple engagements with different teams on a simultaneous basis.
You will be responsible for providing advisory and compliance services within Employment Tax to a wide range of clients. This will involve actively building relationships and aiding senior members of staff in both client work and in the management of the group, as appropriate. You will lead a dedicated team, delegating tasks while mentoring, supporting, and nurturing their professional growth.
At the heart of this position lies the imperative of astute people management. We seek a dynamic individual, skilled in nurturing and fostering the potential of emerging talents, in alignment with our ethos of 'growing our own'. The cornerstone of our success is the continual growth and development of our team which the experienced AD, who is a genuine advocate for individual progress, well-being and people management, should embody. The ideal candidate can elicit the best performances from our team, managing the team relationships and identifying the unique strengths of each member to meet client needs. They will champion the growth of our more junior team members, comprehend their needs, and collaborate seamlessly as a collective team to elevate our department's achievements.
