    Java Developer

    IQVIA NLP

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Java Developer who wants to make a difference to the health of the world.

    This platform brings the power of text mining to the Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors, helping doctors, nurses, and researchers to understand the underlying meaning within the vast quantities of text that they have at their disposal.

    By joining us you will become part of a fast-paced, highly skilled software engineering team that takes their craft seriously.

    This opportunity is flexible to remote working in the UK or Poland, though remote team members should keep hours that maximize the overlap with the UK head office.

    Design and development of server-side technologies to scale and deploy IQVIA NLP's core NLP algorithms using Java, Python, and other tools.

    Occasional design and development of web applications with brilliant UX and design in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Vue.
    The ability to reason about code and a passion for writing high-quality, well-tested code.
    Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline.
    In depth experience of server-side development using Java and Gradle or similar.
    In depth experience of building cloud-native services for deployment on AWS EC2 or similar.
    Full-cycle software engineering skills, e.g. OO design, design patterns, automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
    Understanding of cloud-native CI/CD & deployment tools, e.g.
