- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Monitor and report on the progress of risk mitigation efforts.
- Evaluate and enhance existing internal controls and processes to ensure they align with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and document new controls as necessary.
- Conduct regular control self-assessments and assist with internal and external audits.
- Build strong working relationships with department heads and key stakeholders to understand their business processes and objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor and provide guidance on risk and control matters.
- Support cross-functional projects that require risk and control expertise.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to risk management and controls.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on risk and control best practices.
- Raise awareness about the importance of risk management and control across the organisation.
- Present data-driven insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
- ACA/ ACCA/ CIPFA/ CIA
- Proven experience in external audit, risk management, internal controls, or a related field
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and risk management methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and drive change
