    JOB- Design EngineerLOCATION- CwmbranTERM- PermanentSALARY- £35,000 - £42,000, dependent on experienceMy client is looking for a Design Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis in the Cwmbran area.

    They are manufacturers of mechanical and special purpose machinery systems taking things from design through to manufacture assembly and installation.

    The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

    HNC/HND/ Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar work based experienceAt least 3 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environmentBe proficient using 3D CAD software SolidWorks would be desirableGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerancesExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenProficient using MS OfficeExcellent organisational skills and time management skillsHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team The Design Engineer role will involve: Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsLiaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
