    Role Title: Area Sales Consultant

    Location: Essex

    Competitive Salary + Lucrative commission scheme + Company car/allowance + Tuesday to Saturday work pattern

    About You

    We are looking to expand our area Sales Team and recruit a result driven Area Sales Consultant for our developments within the Essex area. Whilst having housebuilder or estate agency experience is advantageous, due to our in-depth training programme, this role could be suited to anyone from a customer-facing background; in industries such as hospitality, travel or retail.

    You will need to be customer centric and can foster and deliver a positive customer experience at every stage of the customer journey. We are looking for the right personality for this role which is someone who is reliable, tenacious, and ambitious with excellent interpersonal skills.

    What the Area Sales Consultant role involves

    At McCarthy Stone we place our customers at the very heart of our culture and core values, as our Area Sales Consultant you will bring enthusiasm, tenacity, and excellent interpersonal skills to deliver the sales which encompasses lead generation and qualification; developing interest and commitment; negotiating pricing, closing sales; whilst ensuring that the customers remain informed, engaged, and committed through to sales completion.

    To be an Area Sales Consultant at McCarthy Stone, you will need to be an entrepreneurial self-starter who is able to use initiative. Our Area Sales Consultants often work independently, in charge of managing their own development; taking ownership of their database; organising events and having an input in marketing strategies.

    • What do we look for in an Area Sales Consultant

    You will have:

  • Previous customer-focused sales experience is a pre-requisite, gained within a similar environment, whether that is within housebuilding, hospitality, or care.
  • Previous experience of outbound calling, coupled with proven conversation rate of visit to reservation would be advantageous
  • A valid UK Drivers Licence: in the event you are required to visit customers away from the site

  • Results driven, able to use own initiative, think outside the box, multitask, and work to multiple deadlines
  • Highly competent in questioning and listening - to gain a genuine understanding of the customers' requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt style to suit customer needs
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines
  • Proficient organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to handle and manage difficult conversations with customers and third parties
