Description
We are seeking to appoint a Band 8A to work in the Salford Division Ramsgate House Community Mental Health Team.
We are looking for a Psychologist with enthusiasm and an appreciation of the challenges and rewards of working within a culturally diverse service venturing towards community transformation where MDT working will have a recovery focus.
Supporting the inclusion of the 6 core therapeutic modalities.With a significant focus upon multi-disciplinary team working, the post will require a strong contribution to MDT meetings to support CMHT clinicians in decision making and care planning.
There is also the opportunity to provide assessments and psychological interventions for service users who present with complex mental health needs.
Participation in audit, research, service development initiatives and teaching and training will be encouraged and supported.Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over 6,400 members of staff, who deliver services from more than 160 locations.
We provide inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bolton, the city of Manchester, Salford,Trafford and the borough of Wigan, and a wide range of specialist mental health and substance misuse services across Greater Manchester, the north west of England and beyond.

The post holder will be an active member of the CMHT and will liaise across all sectors of care, providing highly specialist, psychological assessment and therapy for clients with complex psychological needs, offering advice and consultation on clients psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues, as well as to other non-professional carers and workers of other agencies where appropriate.
Pay Enhancements 30% additional for Evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays and 60% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.~27 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
NMC, HCPC or registered with equivalent professional body
Post Qualification Training in a therapeutic modality
Experience of working with service users with severe mental health difficulties
Good understanding of risk / assessment
