    Trade Assistant
    • Commodity Trading Permanent position with hybrid working on offerMain purpose of the position Providing support to the Precious Metals, Energy and Base Metals trading desks in their trading activities with position keeping, trade input into the in house system, liaising with back and middle office functions, checking reports from brokers and exchanges and reporting any discrepancies to the trading teams, daily periodical report generation and booking physical shipments of commodities to and from customer locations.

    There will be potential for growth into a Front Office trading or sales role in the futureTo be considered for this position, ideal candidates must have the following experience and skills; 2 years' experience of administrative and supporting work gained in a commodity trading based environment (ideally with a physical commodity background with shipping).

    Strong academics - Educated to 'A' LevelStrong in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Macro & VBA skills are required)Proactive, self-starting individual with high levels of ownership Desire to learn new skills Flexible to take on new tasks to achieve results Ability to thrive in periods of change Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines Ability to work well under pressure Attention to detail Numerate with good analytical skills
