- Set up and operate woodworking machines, including saws, planers, routers, and sanders.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Select appropriate tools and materials for each project.
- Completing edgebanding
- Cut, shape, and mold wood pieces according to specifications.
- Ensure accuracy and precision in measurements and cuts.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain and repair woodworking machinery as needed.
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and contribute ideas for product refinement and innovation.
- Proven experience as a Wood Machinist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of different types of wood, their properties, and appropriate machining techniques.
- Proficiency in edgebanding banding, operating, and maintaining woodworking machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
