    Job Title: Senior Accountant

    Employment Type: Temporary & Contract (initial period of 3 months with a view to potentially extend)

    Location: London, UK

    Salary Guide: £ per day depending on level of experience

    Our client is an established accountancy firm based in London seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team for an initial period of 3 months with a view to potentially extend. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has qualified from a practice background and is comfortable with taking on a wide remit of responsibilities including managing the year-end accounts for clients as well as ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate will be available to start immediately.

    Description

    • Support a varied client portfolio, assisting with bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns and year end accounts.
    • Managing year-end accounts under FRS102, Section 1A and FRS105.
    • Work closely with senior team members, adopting a proactive approach to training whilst helping to continue growth and fostering our culture.
    • Assist on delivering portfolio deliverables, ensuring expectations, deadlines and budgets are being met.
    • Build trusted relationships with clients, liaising with them to answer general queries.
    • Ensure work is completed to a high standard, ensuring expectations and deadlines are being met.
    • Support the wider firm with ad hoc duties as needed.

    Skills

    • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.
    • Prior experience using Iris Accounts Production & Business Tax Software is essential.
    • Experience working on UK GAAP, FRS 102, FRS 105
    • Experience with corporation tax is essential.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent computer literacy including Excel.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • The ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
