    Description

    Workshop Engineer at Your New Company
    A leading brand in the supply and maintenance of plant machinery, Your New Company offers a specialized service and maintenance package to a wide range of clients for Heavy Plant Machinery, focusing primarily on Telehandlers and Roto. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of various plant rental machines, ranging from 1.5T Mini Diggers to 20T Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, and Telescopic Handlers.

    Main Responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer:
    As a Field Service Engineer, you will handle the following tasks related to plant equipment:


    • Promoting and complying with Health & Safety regulations and legislation
    • Completing repairs to the required standard both at the depot and customer sites
    • Communicating effectively with Maintenance and Depot Managers regarding any delays
    • Ensuring machinery is well-maintained and repaired for optimal performance
    • Recording repair data such as time allocation, spares used, and mileage
    • Notifying the office promptly of any required spare parts
    • Keeping the van and work area clean and safe at all times
    • Documenting repairs on an iPad device with supporting photographs
    • Providing necessary support within the Depot when needed
    • Being willing to take on additional duties as necessary

    Requirements for the Workshop Engineer:
    As a Workshop Engineer, we are looking for individuals with the following qualifications and skills:


    • Background in heavy plant, material handling, or automotive industries with a strong willingness to learn
    • Previous experience in the Plant industry is highly desired
    • NVQ Level 2/3 Plant Maintenance qualification or equivalent is preferred
    • Holding a CSCS card would be advantageous
    • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software, including Engine diagnostics
    • Ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
    • Exceptional attention to detail and conscientious work ethic
    • Dealer experience is a plus, though not mandatory
