- Provide business leadership as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Ensure that client submissions are consistent with corporate values; are competitive, delivering revenue and profit in line with or exceeding targets; and of high quality.
- Functionally lead the estimating and administrative teams – setting standards, quality assurance, providing advice and guidance.
- Provide developmental support to the estimating and administrative teams and undertake resource and succession planning.
- Ensure bid documentation is professionally prepared and contractual records are effectively maintained.
- Review systems and processes and undertake or make recommendations (where investment is required) for continuous improvement.
- Actively participate in Clients' pre-order 'start' meetings and ensuing negotiations. Communicate and collaborate with operational teams to ensure scope of work and financials are understood.
- Provide support to operational teams in respect of legal and contractual issues.
- Maintain client contact through to project conclusion and close out associated accounts. Agree settlements in line with expected profitability.
- Monitor, analyse and report on commercial aspects of the business to the Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders.
- Establish, develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to maximise business opportunities.
- Work closely with operational leaders to embed the estimating and administrative support functions into the regions.
