    Renewable Energy BDM - London, United Kingdom - Green Recruitment Company

    Description

    ​TGRC has partnered with a leading global solar project developer, owner, and operator with IPP assets across Europe, North America and Asia. They are looking for an ambitious Renewable Energy BDM (Business Development Manager) to join their team.

    The company specializes in the development of solar power projects, construction management, and providing project financing services through local professional teams in various countries. Their approach involves targeting lucrative project development opportunities in thriving markets, particularly in the U.S. and Europe, where the company holds a prominent position in the industry.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify high-potential solar projects.
    • Assist throughout the identification, evaluation, and assessment of solar projects for investment.
    • Negotiate and sign lease agreements.
    • Dealing with authorities to get all necessary permission to build and operate solar plants.
    • Communicating and taking care with engineers for the technical design of each plant.
    • Manage relationships with local authorities, utilities, and the regulators.
    • Interact with legal, tax, technical, and insurance advisors.
    • Control projects until ready-to-build status and also participate in the auction and sale process.

    Requirements:

    • 4-5 years experience in the energy sector or project-related environment (M&A experience is an advantage)
    • Bachelor's degree in economics, Technical, Law, or a related area.
    • Familiarity with the authorization process for zoning, environmental/ building codes, and land/ grid connection conditions.
    • Ability to assess energy projects from an economical and legal perspective.
    • Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.
    • Fluency in English language.
    • Driving License (Category B).
