Main duties of the job
About us
Our families are at the heart of what we do and we would like to develop better ways of supporting parents/carers to know more about their baby's medicines and how to get the best from them. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing improved parent/carer information and practical help so that we can support all our families throughout the West Midlands Perinatal Network. To develop a Network Pharmacist role for the West Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network.
The postholder/s will work within the Network Team and will be provided with professional supervisory support from the Pharmacy team at Birmingham Women's & Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWC; as host of the Network).
Funding for this role allows us a maximum of whole time equivalent (WTE) Band 8a Network Pharmacy roles. To date, this has been structured as two individuals working part-time for the Network ( WTE and respectively) - this has supported individuals to work either part-time or to blend their Network time with clinical practice in another role within the West Midlands. We would welcome applications from any appropriately experienced Pharmacists who are enthusiastic about what the Network Pharmacist role can deliver for West Midlands families, and we are open to considering a change in the WTE structure of these roles where candidates may wish us to.
