    The ideal candidate for the Health & Safety Manager position should have a deep understanding of health and safety regulations, risk mitigation, project management, contractor management, and budgeting. Moreover, they should have a keen interest in advancing eco-friendly practices. An effective communicator, the Health and Safety Manager must be friendly, open-minded, and adept at engaging with various stakeholders respectfully and efficiently.

    Person Specification


    Essential

    • Relevant experience in Health & Safety, Risk Management, Facilities, and/or Estates Management
    • Adept at interpreting legislation and statutory requirements
    • Passionate about energy conservation and sustainability
    • Hold NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar Health and Safety qualifications
    • Hands-on experience in building maintenance and practical skills
    • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
    • Financial management expertise and budget handling experience
    • Proactive, autonomous, and initiative-driven
    • Capable of building positive relationships and representing the school department effectively
    • Numerically astute with excellent attention to detail
    • Strong team player with flexible working capabilities
    • Deadline-oriented with a focus on target achievement
    • Proficient in IT tools (Word/Excel/Outlook)
    • Possess a valid driving license
    • Dedicated to the well-being and protection of children

    Desirable

    • HND Level qualification
    • MIDAS Minibus Driving Qualification
    • First Aid Certification
    • Experience in the education sector
