    Electricity North West is looking for an Project Initiation Coordinator. The role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package, including the chance to join a thriving company.

    The Project Initiation Coordinator will set the foundation for our customer projects following acceptance and handover to the delivery team. Working closely with internal and external teams, you will be managing requests for information from the customer or their representatives. You will take ownership of closing out these requests, arranging point of connection surveys and updating the Project Management Plan.

    You will be working with the Programme Manager, Project Manager's, and Engineers within the team to ensure a smooth customer journey in line with our internal and regulatory obligations.

    You will also be responsible for ensuring that all relevant documentation, systems, reporting, and communication is accurate, timely and to a high standard.

    Within this Project Initiation Coordinator role, you can expect to:

    • Act as point of contact to our Customer in the Pre-construction phase of their accepted scheme
    • Liaise with all stakeholders involved in the Connection process; Customer, internal Design teams, Strategic Planning, Support Services, Land Rights & Consents and external Delivery Partners.
    • Obtain and distribute any requested project specific information
    • Arrange any site activities, such as Point of Connection Surveys
    • Maintain and update project documentation and correspondence
    • Ensure that all interested stakeholders have the most up to date versions of all project controlled documentation
    • Ensure all project correspondence and communication is issued in line with section and project guidelines and in a timely and professional manner
    • Updating and maintenance of the project folders / Project Management Plan
    • Assist in the preparation and modification of customer / project documents as required (such as reports, updates, summaries, general correspondence, transmittals, notification documentation for commissioning procedures etc)
    • Provide handover to the Project Manager ahead of the scheme moving to the construction phase

    To succeed in this role, you will need proven experience and extensive knowledge in the electricity industry. You will also require the following:

    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Have a high level of organisation and the ability to prioritise competing workloads
    • Be self-motivated and work independently, whilst under pressure to meet relevant business targets, often using your own initiative
    • Computer literate and proficient with a full range of Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Competent user of MS Project (Desirable)
    • Previous experience managing a portfolio of projects (Essential) within the Utilities sector (Desirable)
    • Customer facing project delivery experience (Desirable)
    • Foundation level project management qualification or be willing to work towards
    • Be adaptable to accommodate the requirements of the role
