    Legal Director – Healthcare & Fitness to Practice – Manchester – up to £80,000 + Excellent Benefits Package – Generous Bonus Scheme - REF 627134DL

    The Role

    Superb opportunity to join an award-winning leading international Legal 500 law firm that offers specialist quality legal advice to a broad range of Private and Healthcare clients.

    The firm is recognised across the globe for its outstanding client care and high-quality lawyers.

    Due to the development and expansion of the firm's Healthcare Regulatory Team, it is now seeking to appoint an experienced Legal Director alongside its existing Team dealing with a range of regulatory cases including disciplinary investigations (Fitness to Practice), Inquests, and Criminal matters.

    The ideal candidate will be at least 8 years PQE and will have experience in Fitness to Practice, Inquests and Criminal cases undertaking their own advocacy. There is a steady flow of new instructions from insurance companies, medical and dental defence organisations, private individuals and professional associations.

    The role will include handling a varied caseload of Fitness to Practice, Inquest and Criminal matters, alongside supporting junior members of the team and supporting with business development.

    The Candidate

    • A qualified solicitor with 8+ years PQE
    • Experience in Healthcare Regulatory matters, including Fitness to Practice, Inquests and Criminal cases
    • Previous exposure to advocacy is essential
    • Must be able to handle a caseload from straightforward to complex matters
    • Must have a solid understanding of the healthcare regulatory market
    • Strong technical and organisation skills
    • A pragmatic and methodical approach to handling a variety of cases
    • An ability to adopt a commercial perspective to legal issues
    • Be highly client focused
    • Team orientated with a willingness to mentor, coach and supervise less experienced members
