    Job summary

    Are you an experienced Practice Nurse seeking a new fulfillingopportunity? Or are you a Nurse looking to move into General Practice? Millway Medical Practice , an esteemed, high achieving NHS GP practice in Mill Hill, is excited to welcome a new practice nurse in to our dynamic and expanding allied healthcare team. We can accommodate part time or full time hours for the right candidate, if selected at interview please let us know your preferred working pattern.

    Main duties of the job

    The postholder will provide care for the presenting patient, treatment, chronic disease management and evaluation of care. As well asproviding the full range of primary care to our patients, including: immunisations adult and children, cervical cytology, wound management and all the normal duties of a Practice Nurse.

    An individual who can work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, ensuring that practice policies and procedures are followed.

    To be considered for this exciting role you must have UK registered nurse with significant post registration experience as well as the Right To Work in the UK

    with over 50 team members. 7 GP partners, 1 pharmacist partner, 6 salaried GPs, 1 nurse, 1 ACP, 2 Physician Associates, 4 health care assistants, 2 GPA's, 4 secretaries, 12 administrators, 12 receptionists.

    Job description

    Job responsibilities

    The postholder will provide the full range of primary care services to our patients, including: immunisations, chronic disease management, cervical cytology, wound management and all the normal duties of a Practice Nurse.

    From time to time clinics will run on the weekends or in our neighbouring practices.

    Person Specification

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Qualifications : UK Registered Nurse. Applicants must have current UK professional registration

    • Desirable

  • Primary care courses
  • Cervical Screening
  • Immunisations updates
  • Respiratory courses on management of chronic asthma / COPD

    • Experience

    Essential

  • Experience of working in NHS for a minimum of one year
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients

    • Desirable

  • Primary Care setting experience is desirable but not essential

    • Skills

    Essential

  • Ability to provide quality care
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • A basic standard of IT is essential, all consultations are recorded digitally and the practice is focused on offering care via the patients preferred method of communication, face to face, telephone and video consultations
