    What is the job about?

    We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager. The purpose of this Payroll Manager position is to lead the Payroll department in all Payroll matters.

    You will oversee the management of payroll for a number of subsidiaries across different countries. You will also provide advice on payroll policy matters to the Finance Director and People Team.

    What exactly will you do?

    Typical responsibilities will include the following:

  • Lead the efficient running of the Payroll Department on a day-to-day basis for 4 UK payrolls
  • Co-ordinate the monthly Maltese payroll
  • Manage the French payroll process
  • Process new starters and leavers
  • HMRC PAYE and attachment of earnings payments
  • Pension submissions
  • RTI submissions
  • Annual P11Ds
  • Manage year-end process including P60s, etc.
  • Prioritising and organising the range of work that comes into the Payroll and Pension department
  • Effectively manage and mentor a team
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Senior Finance team in accordance with current legislation, rules and regulations
  • Prioritising and managing tight deadlines
  • What we're looking for

    We are looking for an experience payroll professional who is hardworking and exceptionally organised. Ideally, you will have the following:

  • Previous experience as Payroll Manger is essential
  • Have a proven track record of preparing and processing a complex payroll for over 500 employees
  • Be fully compliant and conversed in all legal and statutory payroll and pension matters
  • To be able to focus on complex information while dealing with regular interruptions
  • Have discretion when dealing with sensitive data
  • A good working knowledge of HMRC rules and regulations
  • We'll need an experienced person to show us what excellent looks like, but most importantly deliver it
