    We have a new and exciting opportunity to join our team as *Head Chef
    Job DescriptionThe Head Chef will ensure that all food preparation and dishes are not only in keeping with our brand and meet the expectations of our residents, but also comply with food safety compliance and legislation.

    The role holder will be responsible for the recruitment, management, training, development and motivation of their team.

    This is a hands on role within a small and friendly team, so your ability to lead from the front is essential.

    • Excellent work/life balanceSkills and ExperienceWe would expect the successful candidate to have at least 3 years previous experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a gastro pub/restaurant, where they have led a busy service.

      In addition, you will have been responsible for menu design and development, food preparation, food and allergy safety, managing a small brigade, budgets and stock control.

      As a senior member of the management team, you will also be comfortable meeting with your customers to listen to and discuss feedback.Responsibilities
      Responsible for the Kitchen operation at all times.

      To ensure that in the preparation and presentation of food, the highest standards are maintained at all times. To constantly focus on guest care and service.

      To be fully knowledgeable with the menu and to be adaptable with continual changes to ensure that the menu is kept in line with customer demands and Company policies.

      To ensure all dishes are prepared to a consistent specification to ensure quality is upheld at all times. To ensure that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and work in accordance with Health & Safety regulationsQualifications       NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent Food Hygiene Certificate
    • NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in a catering related subject
    • First aid (Desirable)
    • COSHH (Desirable)HoursMinimum of 37.5 hours per week 5 days out of 7 day rota, with a minimum of 2 evenings a week.
