- Technical and commercial evaluation of sales enquiries, ensuring that all relevant information is available.
- Provide detailed quotations for tender submissions.
- Liaise with suppliers in requesting quotations.
- Work closely with inhouse engineering disciplines and external resources to prepare robust documentation and costing estimates for proposals.
- Work closely with the sales team and provide internal support to all sales related activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all tenders submitted, including associated documentation.
- Generate new opportunities with new and existing customers, managing the opportunity through to completion.
- Manage teams of technicians, sub-contractors and other A&A employees to ensure work is carried out on time and safely.
- Liaise with technicians and subcontractors to carry out site audits as and when required to ensure work is being undertaken to a high standard.
- Compiling Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to a high standard and fully compliant with relevant legislation.
- Supervise specialist subcontractors to ensure the service provided is as per service level agreement; reporting any issues immediately and contributing to problem resolution.
- Establish effective working rapport / partnership with key suppliers, acquiring an in-depth knowledge of their respective products and services.
- Input, Maintain & Update company CRM system.
- Project manage and facilitate your orders (with commercial team support)
- Assist with daily sales enquiries.
- Monitor Sales email inbox.
- Any other duties for which the commercial estimator is sufficiently trained and qualified for, as designated by the Senior Management Team.
- Experience working in a similar Engineering environment preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good time management skills
- Organised & Punctual
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, with internal and external clients.
- Demonstrate keen commercial awareness and develop new business with clients at every opportunity.
- Familiarity with OFTEC and the regulations surrounding fuel storage.
- Health & Safety qualifications would be an advantage.
- Ideally possess knowledge of fuel storage systems of various sizes and environments.
- Candidate must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office Applications
