    Description
    My client, a rapidly expanding global law firm, is looking for a new Legal Cashier to join its London team.

    In this hands-on and busy role, you will support employees across the office. The role will work in a team consisting of another Legal Cashier, AP Specialist, Legal Biller, and Accounting Supervisor.

    About the role:
    • Processing client and office receipts per the firm's processes and policies.
    • Setting up electronic payments in a timely and organised manner.
    • Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
    • Actioning any internal bank transfers as required from client or office account.
    • Calculating interest due on client account transactions.
    • Ensure that client balances are returned promptly.
    • Supporting the wider accounts team, completing any additional ad hoc tasks as required
    About you:
    • Previous accounting experience, ideally from the legal sector. A previous role as a legal cashier would be advantageous.
    • A solid understanding of the Solicitor's Accounts Rules.
    • Experience using different currencies and understanding how those transfers work.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels.
    • Commercial and pragmatic outlook.
    • Ability to demonstrate a flexible and hands-on attitude, responding effectively to rapidly changing circumstances.
    • Demonstrate a positive attitude and be a role model for the team.
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
    • Able to work autonomously.
    • Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
