    Compass Associates are proud to be working with a client that provides long term residential care for children who may have experienced conflict with their family or carers, mental health challenges, trauma and have the additional challenge of mild to moderate learning disabilities'.Together we are looking for someone who is dedicated to providing support to Children and Young people and their Carers to plan appropriate and timely interventions using an energetic evidence-based approach.


    Location:
    The position is easily commutable from the surrounding areas of Chestfield, Herne Bay, Margate, Ramsgate, Faversham, Littlebourne, Dover and the wider area KentSalary and Benefits: £43,500 – £50,000 FTE – Part time/Full time 33 days annual leave – Additional annual leave after 3 years of service Employee assistance and wellbeing program (AEP)

    Opportunity to attend therapeutic training courses and further CPD Flexibility with working hoursKey Responsibilities:
    To undertake direct clinical work contributing to the multi-disciplinary team providing specialist assessment, therapy, consultation and training. Identify and provide appropriate means of support to carers and staff exposed to distressing situations and challenging behaviour. Effectively lead group supervision to support staff to process and reflect on the therapeutic support provided and group dynamics.


    Candidate:
    Occupational Therapist, Child/Adolescent Therapist, Family Therapist, Systemic Practitioner, Counsellor, Child Psychotherapist. Profession registration such as BACP, HCPC, UKCP, ACP or relevant accrediting body.

    Minimum 2 years post qualification experience working with children complex developmental needs or children who have experienced living in care.

    Clinical experience working within a MDT Evidence of leadership or managing a projectShift Pattern:
    Minimum of 16 hours per week Attendance of a Fortnightly team meeting Flexibility to carry out clinical supervisions remotely with staff
