    Altro are currently recruiting for two Process Improvement Engineers to join our Operations Team based in Letchworth Garden City . These brand new, exciting opportunities form a vital part of Manufacturing, working efficiently and strategically to identify and eliminate waste within the Operations and Technical business areas. They are both based on a permanent contract, working on site Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

    So, what will you be doing? As a Process Improvement Engineer, you will be the be the champion for Lean Six Sigma activities, utilising techniques to improve business performance and reduce costs.

    You will support the implementation of the waste elimination strategy by identifying, justifying, and delivering waste elimination projects, in line with Company targets and priorities.

    Creating quotes for improvements and justifications for required changes, you will implement and support the delivery of business opportunities to optimise productivity and profitability.

    You will identify improvements in output and the reduction in energy production and how they can be achieved. As well as support the delivery of a Continuous Improvement program, maintaining a culture of positive change and influence key stakeholders.

    Who are we looking for? An energetic, proactive team player withexperience of working on productivity improvements, ideally within a manufacturing environment. We need someone with a proven track record of successfully delivering waste elimination projects. Excellent communication and influencing skills will be key as well as the ability to build and present data-driven business case studies. Experience of supporting focused cross functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations throughout would be highly beneficial and although not essential, a HNC / Degree or a similar qualification in Mechanical, Chemical or Production Engineering would also highly advantageous.
