Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose

To oversee offshore inspection activities and ensure compliance with Oceaneering and client standards and regulations.

Perform visual equipment inspections as required, following industry best practices and relevant legislation.

Functions

Support the line manager in executing work scopes defined by client contracts.
Evaluate defects in line with Oceaneering and client procedures.
Report to the Offshore Installation Manager for inspection coordination.
Collaborate with asset personnel to organize inspection activities.
Conduct offshore inspections within specified authority limits.
Perform visual and NDT inspections when necessary.
Provide remedial recommendations and oversee repair work.
Submit inspection reports promptly using approved formats.
Supervise Oceaneering and third-party personnel.
Review and endorse inspection reports by NDT Technicians or third parties.
Issue status reports as needed (Daily/Handover/End of Trip/Certificate of Examination).
Attend relevant meetings and reviews.
Maintain logs and records as per Oceaneering/client procedures.
Assist as directed by the onshore team or Client Integrity Engineer.
Ensure adherence to safety policies for a secure work environment.
Work in line with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems.
Operate with regard to the Company's Integrated Management Systems.
Promote environmental sustainability and suggest eco-friendly practices.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:

DESIRED

HNC in relevant Engineering discipline or ONC/NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds)
Minimum 10 years' experience in plant and equipment inspection.
Knowledge of legislation, standards, materials, and plant operations.
ASME Plant Inspector Level 2 and/or API 510 & 570 certifications.
UKAS RG2 Category 3 compatibility.
IRATA Rope Access qualification and NDT certifications.
