    CAT 3 Inspection Engineer Position - Join Our Team Today!

    Stork is currently seeking Plant Inspectors in different locations across the UK, offering permanent and contract positions with PAYE or LTD company options. We are specifically looking for skilled CAT 3 Inspectors with experience in conducting in-service inspections of pressure systems in refinery settings.

    Available Job Opportunities:

    • CAT 3 Plant Inspector in Southampton - Local role Monday to Friday
    • CAT 3 Plant Inspector in Cheshire for Shutdowns in April & September 24' (LTD or PAYE option)
    • CAT 3 Plant Inspector specialized in Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) in Cheshire for a 12-month period (LTD or PAYE option)
    • CAT 2 Inspection Engineer position in West Yorkshire for CUI Line/Plant Inspection for 12 months

    Tasks and Responsibilities as Inspection Engineer:

    • Contract Delivery:
    • Plan and conduct pre-surveys of equipment, prepare for inspections and Non Destructive Examination (NDE) requirements.
    • Perform plant and pipework inspections according to Stork's procedures in compliance with the Written Scheme of Examination.
    • Collaborate with NDT team to ensure inspection techniques align with integrity goals.
    • Review inspection reports, isometrics, vessel arrangements, and P&ID drawings.
    • Manage and report on the status of ongoing inspections and corrosion monitoring.
    • Coordinate with planning personnel to optimize inspection opportunities.
    • Provide technical advice for ad-hoc inspections and integrity assessments.
    • Stay updated on NDT techniques and maintain knowledge of integrity threats.
    • Support prioritization and planning of work for NDT personnel and contractors.
    • Reporting and Compliance:
    • Create workpacks with relevant NDT techniques to meet integrity goals.
    • Perform detailed scoping, WSE creation/review/approval, anomaly reporting, and inspection reporting.
    • Contribute to audits of NDT Inspections for procedural compliance.
    • People Management:
    • Establish and monitor project team methods.
    • Conduct briefings/Tool Box Talks for Inspection/NDT Personnel.
    • Ensure selected personnel are trained and competent for the tasks.
    • Advise on training and competence assurance as needed.
    • Support recruitment and development of a competent workforce.
    • Participate in pre-project briefs.

    Specific Requirements for the Inspection Engineer:

    • Education & Experience:
    • ASME Level 2 Plant Inspector or API 570/510 qualification.
    • HNC/HND in an Engineering Discipline.
    • Site Safety Passport.
    • Professional Body Membership/Engineering Council status.
    • Experience in 'in-service' plant inspection and NDT.
    • Ability to work independently and supervise others effectively.
    • Desirable:
    • Experience in Fitness for Purpose assessments.
    • API 579 PCN Level II or equivalent in MPI, DPI, EC, and UT.
    • API 653 Tank Inspection certification.
    • Boiler/Furnace inspection experience.
    • Radiographic Interpretation (RI).
    • IRATA Level I PCN or equivalent.
