    Aufgaben

    • Senior Project Manager for all or section of the works (large scheme) responsible for all aspects ofdelivery including Safety, Environment, Quality, Cost and Programme.
    • Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality
      • Lead / promote high standards of HSEQ on the project and monitor / ensure company policies andprocedures are in place. Act when required.
      • Produce the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan and incorporated Management Plans. Ensurethat it is regularly updated. Lead, promote and empower the Behavioural Safety Culture with Staff,Supply Chain and Client. Ensure adequate provision is in place for attending all safety related tours /meetings and close out all actions in a timely manner by the project team. Ensure STRABAG projectteam and Sub Contractors are aware of their responsibilities for the contract and that all their operationsare planned to deliver a safe system of work.
      • Understand the roles and responsibilities of STRABAG in respect of the CDM Regulations.
      • Ensure that the quality of the work is to the specified standards and that the site team are closelymonitoring the quality of work to minimise defects at project completion. Empower the site teams toraise non-conformances (through ITP / Defects Management – Fusion Live) as well as implementinglearning and cost of failure to improve quality across the business.
      • Ensure that all reported defects are rectified promptly during the progress of works on site and ultimatelyguarantee that all PC snags are cleared within two weeks of Practical Completion. With the CommercialLead, ensure all Final Accounts are submitted at the earliest opportunity and invoices are raised torelease retention and ensure prompt cash release from Client.
      • Pre-Construction / Tender Handover
      • Ensure that an effective handover process from Pre-construction to the Delivery Team is carried out.Ensure Project Kick Off Meeting(s) are attended by appropriate members of the project team to a fullappraisal of the Project commercial position and risks/ opportunities at the time of award are understoodby the Project Team. In conjunction with the Project Kick Off Meeting, ensure that the Project Teamcarry out a 'Project Team Delivery Workshop' to ensure all team members have a detailedunderstanding of the project scope.
      • Following on from the Project Kick Off Meeting and Project Team Delivery Workshop, ensure that arobust Project Strategy is in place with the Project Team. The Project Strategy must include the ProjectMPR, Sub Contractor Procurement, Understanding of Delivery, VE Options Schedule, VariationManagement, Client Management and Materials Management where applicable. This must includeunderstanding and ownership / implementation of the Earthworks Strategy.
      • In conjunction with the Contracts Manager / Senior Commercial Manager, manage and monitor theContractual Rights and Obligations Summary, including Bonds and Insurance requirements and ensurecomplete understanding within the Project Team in conjunction with the Senior Commercial Manager.
    • Customer and Stakeholder SatisfactionEnsure that any Project specific Operational / Commercial issues are reviewed with the Project Team /Support Management and raised with the Client in a timely contractual manner always in accordancewith the Build Business Unit Authority Matrix.
      • Establish and positively maintain a good working relationship with the Client, including their team andDesign Team.
      • Obtain positive Client references (Constructionline), complete case study including photographs asevidence for future promotion back to Business Unit. Ensure Design BREEAM is in place at PC and thePost Completion Report is complete no later than 3 months after PC.
      • Ensure 'Project Analysis Report' (GA035.02 – CPS) and meeting is carried out no later than 3 monthsafter PC. Ensure Aftercare Plan is issued at PC. All snagging is closed out no later than 2 weeks afterPC.
    • Project Financial and Commercial Performance (MPR)
      • Champion and drive Operation / Commercial excellence with the Project Team.
      • Ensure necessary record keeping relating to site correspondence, allocations, reconciliations, diaries,delay notices, CVI's, RFI's are accurate to protect STRABAG and ensure this is reflected in the MPR tohighlight current status.
      • Drive / lead the Project Team in the management of the Project MPR on an event-by-event basis andensuring the accurate and timely submission of the same ahead of the monthly MPR meetings (includingmaterials and plant reconciliations).
      • Understand / lead the control and monitoring of costs / expenditure on site in conjunction with theCommercial Project Lead. Challenge any losses and inform line management of any issues / concerns.
      • Review the MPR both internally with the Project Team and line management weekly prior to submissionto the Commercial Director and Construction Director. Include reviewing and challenging whereapplicable of monthly Project cost allocations (including staff, plant and material costs) and identify earlywarnings for any Operational and Commercial risks to the Project to line management (RiskManagement).
      • Take full responsibility for the Prelims and ensure that the tender book is reforecast at thecommencement of the Project, to work within the allowances set and raise any differences andoverspend with line management. Drive this message to the Project Team.
      • Carry out weekly internal Design and Procurement Schedule reviews with the 'Key Triangle' of theProject Team (PM / QS / DM) to ensure Design / Procurement is monitored against the targets on theschedule and the Project Team is clear on any alternative products that need Client approval prior toprocurement. Vet the design against the specification and ensure the best value solution is selected.Intervene with the Designers if we are failing and elevate to line management. Manage / monitor closelyto ensure all tender VE is implemented.
      • Drive / lead the Project Team in the effective use of the Procurement Authorisation process(Procurement Gateways 1 and 2), with the Project Commercial lead. Manage and monitor completionand content, check for completeness and ensure successful, accurate and robust subcontract formationin accordance with the Authority Matrix.
      • Manage and monitor the timely procurement of Sub-Contractors in line with the Business Unitexpectation of (90% - value of packages procured by 30% of the programme duration). Carryout a weekly (or more frequently as required) review of the Procurement Schedule with the ProjectCommercial Lead to meet or better target dates. Always ensure that approved Sub Contractors receiveOrder documents and returned signed in ALL cases prior to commencement on site and facilitate theirlead in for design and manufacture.
      • In conjunction with the Project Commercial Lead drive the timely and accurate submission of variationsincluding effects on programme. Monitor Client account to identify risks and opportunities.
      • Assist in the identification of Risks and Opportunities with the Project Teams and monitor progression /implementation of the management of the same.
      • Manage / Drive / Lead the Project Team to ensure that the profitable and commercial aspects of sitedecisions are understood.
    • Programme and Site Management
      • Produce results which create excellent Client satisfaction, WIP, cash and Sub-Contractor performance,compliance of the Project within standards of Safety, Planning and ForecastingSupport the setting up, planning and co-ordination of the Project prior to commencement.
      • Ensure Project Team are closely monitoring the Contract / Construction Programme / ProcurementSchedules with a weekly intrusive review. Constantly monitor progress to ensure compliance orbetterment. If works are behind programme, take measures to recover lost time and mitigate. Report toline management as necessary.
      • Ensure that all Project Operations are planned and executed in accordance with the requirements ofthe CPS.
      • Ensure that Site / Construction Managers have short term programmes in place (2 / 4 weeks) withagreed resources to monitor against and this is then incorporated into the Construction Programme.
      • Ensure Programme Strategy is in place to mitigate risk of delays or entitlement to EOT.
      • Organise and Chair weekly Project Team Meetings with the Project Team with actions recorded andmonitored.
      • Ensure Project Team undertake weekly Progress Meetings with key Sub-Contractors.
      • Establish relationships with each Sub-Contractor and conduct regular dialogue. Treat all Supply ChainPartners fairly and with respect in accordance with the Contract and overall success of the Project inmind.
      • Produce reporting documents as set out in the Contract (agree format of the Contractor's Report withthe Client) and fulfil requirements of the STRABAG internal reporting strategy.
      • Manage / prepare for close out of project delivery by using the Deliverables Schedule agreed with theClient 12 weeks prior to PC.
      • Ensure archiving is managed and completed no later than 2 weeks after PC.
    • Staff / Training
      • Ensure all new starters (including Sub-Contract employees) are instructed on STRABAG Health, Safety,Environmental and Quality requirements including project specific needs and receive a CompanyInduction.
      • Train / Develop / Motivate all staff and ensure all the team receive Staff Performance Reviews. Ensuretraining is reviewed and provided for the team to improve overall business performance. Ensure all staff/ operatives are competent for the tasks and responsibilities given to them.
      • Ensure all the team understand their roles and what is expected from them. Once discussed / agreedwith each team member, produce a Roles and Responsibilities schedule. This is to be signed by bothparties. Promote teamwork, trust, respect and open discussion. Encourage innovative ideas andexcellence. Lead by example and guide the Project Team with good practice and demonstrate goodmanagement / leadership skills.
      • Manage poor performance utilising HR where necessary.
      • Plan, co-ordinate, recruit and develop staff levels to undertake current / future workload in conjunctionwith Contracts Manager / Senior Commercial Manager approval.
      • Carry out all HR related approvals for subordinate staff including (but not limited to) leave requests,training requests and timesheets. Manage annual leave within the Project Team to avoid clashes andto ensure adequate provision for cover is always in place.
    • Authority Matrix
      • In conjunction with the Project Commercial Lead, ensure the Project Team always work within theparameters of the Build Business Unit Authority Matrix for all stages of the Project.
      • In conjunction with the Project Commercial Lead and line management, ensure that any specificOperational and Commercial issues are reviewed and raised with the Client in a timely and contractuallycorrect manner always in accordance with the Build Business Unit Authority Matrix and undertake therequired approval process.
      • No communication with external parties without approval of the Business Unit Directors.

    Qualifikationen

    • Extensive technical knowledge of constructiontechniques and best practices.
    • Knowledge of Environmental MinimumRequirements (including Code of ConstructionPractice, etc).
    • Understanding of all facets of the constructionprocess with strong ability for planning.
    • Experience of working in an environment of a complexstructure of stakeholders and ability to maintain goodrelationships throughout.
    • Strong leadership, communication and conflictmanagement skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a focuson the development of people in the team to realise theirpotential.
    • Track record of developing a proactive andcollaborative relationship with the Client Teams.
    • Able to demonstrate the application of systems andconstruction processes that develop a result drivenculture of excellence throughout the project team.
    • Ability to establish and lead a safety-first culturewith a track record of delivering projects safely.
    • Can demonstrate leading supply chain relationships tobring innovation and best practice to the project within acommercial framework that ensures delivery toprogramme and budget.
    • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering /Construction Management.
    • A Chartered Member of a relevant professional body.(MCIOB), (MICE), (MRICS).
    • Knowledge and understanding of constructioncontract law and forms of contract throughexperience and formal training.
    • Training in Health & Safety and Environmentalmanagement.
    • CSCS Card (relevant type)
