Description
Job description

Full-time or part-time hours per week, across Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00). Flexible working is possible - five positions available.

We are currently recruiting for
five Wellbeing Practitioners to join the Ealing Early Intervention Service, which is an exciting partnership between London Borough of Ealing and the Anna Freud Centre.

Practitioners will operate at all times from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects the diversity of Ealing and ensures all work is sensitive to the needs of a range of ethnic, cultural and religious groups, is gender sensitive, anti-discriminatory and values diversity.

The service works with children, young people and their families presenting with mild to moderate mental health needs.

The service offers brief evidence-based individual and group interventions to address mild to moderate wellbeing needs largely using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), trauma-informed and mentalization approaches.

Work is also conducted jointly with existing professionals where young people present with more complex needs to strengthen the skills and competencies in the multi-agency network.

The work takes place on an outreach basis in schools, family homes and other community venues as well as being conducted virtually.

The roles are suited to individuals with skills and experience of working directly in school/community settings and who are passionate about delivering high-quality evidence-based interventions on a time-limited basis.

The post-holders will use their clinical skills in assessment and delivery of evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing needs.

Practitioners will work in partnership with families and professionals to address the needs of children and young people in Ealing.

They will also deliver consultation, training, and workshops to non-mental health staff, such as teachers and social workers with other clinicians and practitioners in the service.

Location

Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): the post is based within premises at London Borough of Ealing and occasionally at the Anna Freud Centre in King's Cross (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).

The Ealing sites are Greenford Service Centre (Oldfield Lane South, Ravenor Park, Greenford UB6 9LB) and Ealing Primary Centre (573 Greenford Road, Greenford UB6 8QJ).

The work will be a mixture of face-to-face work in community settings with office and virtual appointments.
