    Description

    Are you a Special Needs Teaching Assistant seeking full-time work in Chester?

    Draig Recruitment is offering a full-time role for a Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting individuals with Autism.

    This opportunity is within a well-resourced special needs school that caters to children aged 3-19 with autism and complex needs. We are looking for friendly individuals with a genuine passion for assisting those with additional learning needs. If you have a talent for building rapport and fostering positive relationships with students, this job role could be perfect for you. Initially, this will be a temporary position, but there is potential for it to become permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate.

    Work hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, with a daily pay rate ranging from £80 to £90.

    Requirements:

    • Experience working with children or young people
    • Experience supporting individuals with autism and complex needs
    • Knowledge of EHCP's and aiding students in achieving their learning objectives
    • Creating a positive and nurturing environment for students to support their personal and social growth
    • Being supportive, sensitive, and resilient in handling challenging situations
    • Ability to implement de-escalation techniques

    Additional criteria:

    • Eligibility to work in the UK
    • References validating suitability for the role
    • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
    • Completion of Safeguarding training or willingness to undergo a free course
