    Litigator - Housing Disrepair

    As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and motivated litigator to join our team in the role of Remote Litigator - Housing Disrepair.


    Position Overview:

    As a Litigator specialising in housing disrepair, you will be responsible for representing tenants in legal proceedings related to substandard housing conditions.

    You will work closely with clients to assess their cases, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and advocate on their behalf in negotiations, mediations, and court appearances.

    This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing housing challenges while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Case Management:
    Manage a caseload of housing disrepair cases from inception to resolution, ensuring timely and effective representation for clients

    Legal Research:
    Conduct thorough legal research on housing laws, regulations, and precedents to support case strategy and arguments

    Document Drafting:
    Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents necessary for litigation and settlement negotiations

    Client Communication:
    Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates on case progress, answer questions, and address concerns

    Negotiation and Mediation:
    Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation sessions to resolve disputes favourably for clients

    Court Representation:
    Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings, presenting compelling arguments and advocating for clients' interests

    Collaboration:
    Collaborate with other members of the legal team, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to provide comprehensive legal services to clients
