    Description
    Do you want to work in a team where you will be supported to be true to your Social Work values? Or are you looking to start your career in social care?

    The main purpose of your role is to assess people's needs and associated risks, establishing their eligibility for services under the Care Act, as well as assessing capacity under the Mental capacity Act.

    You will also have the opportunity to support with undertaking safeguarding enquiries. There is a strong ethos in the team to facilitate and encourage ongoing professional development.

    We offer apprenticeships in social work and the opportunity to qualify as a best interests assessor and to complete your Practice Educator training.

    This will provide a good foundation for working in all areas of adult services. You will be adaptable, person centred, a great team player and committed to ongoing professional development.

    This post is subject to an EnhancedDBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previouslythe Criminal Records Bureau).

    Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.
    Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

    Work Permits:

    we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency's Points-based Immigration System.
