    Commissioning Engineer

    The successful candidate will be multi-skilled, have good knowledge of PLCs, HMI and be customer focused.

    Position Overview:

    As a commissioning engineer, you'll be working in cooperation with multiple project stakeholders, you will be responsible for the commissioning of the company's equipment, and the supervision of electrical installation in customers' sites around the world.


    You will be the ambassador of the company's brand, as you will be the last technician remaining on the site during acceptance tests and production launch, at our customers' sites.


    Responsibilities for Commissioning Engineer:

    • As an expert, commission machinery so that its mechanical, electrical, software and process functions perform to the contract specification.
    • Modify and fault-find software for a variety of PLC platforms.
    • Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures including feeding back any H&S information to management.
    • Support Technical and Customer Services in the office and on site.
    • Participate in continuous improvement, helping R&D, Manufacturing, Customer Services, Drawing Office...
    Experience of installing and commissioning value-added capital equipment: Food & Beverage, O&G, Pharmaceuticals.


    • Knowledge of fault-finding and program changing on PLC (Rockwell - Siemens and others) - HMI (Rockwell - Win CC)
    • Good mechanical and electrical skills: hands-on profile
    • Ability to work alone but still be part of a team.
    • Ability to work away from home base for extended periods of time, both in the UK and overseas - up to 75% travel around the world.
