Project Management Office Manager - Cheshire, United Kingdom - SENS - Iqony Solar Energy Solutions
Description
Job DescriptionProject Management Office (PMO) Manager
Your new company Iqony Solar Energy Solutions UK (SENS UK) is the solar subsidiary of German power company, Iqony Group (formerly STEAG).
SENS UK's vision is to become one of the UK's foremost solar PV Independent Power Producers (IPPs). We will do this by developing, financing, constructing and maintaining commercial solar PV assets, on the ground, on roof tops, in some cases, co-located with batteries. Where profitable markets emerge in other renewable technologies, we will enter them.
Through our Wattify platform, we enable customers and the public to own the solar PV assets. Our parent company's strength and commitment enables us to take a long-term view on owning renewable assets, by developing a project portfolio, purchasing development rights and direct relationships with clients where we will sell green energy either to the grid or to customers, 'behind the meter'.
The team is currently developing and building solar PV on large scale roof tops. The team will expand and grow its ground mounted solar PV capability during 2023. For this, we require an experienced Project Management Office (PMO) Manager to work alongside the Managing Director to build the capability to achieve the IPP vision.
Your new role
As the Project Management Office (PMO) Manager , you will be responsible for setting up and running the PMO function to support the delivery of large scale ground and roof mounted solar PV, and batteries, and the Operations and Maintenance of these assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities are to:
· run and refine the project management office function, ensuring it supports SENS' vision
· work with the Managing Director, Technical Director, Financial Controller, Project Managers and Solar Engineers to help plan, manage and deliver our projects
· produce financial reports, valuations and budgets
· evaluate projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhere to budgets, and meet deadlines
· document the projects' creation, development, and execution as well as the projects' scope and budget
· complete pre-qualification questionnaires, support the writing of formal sales tender responses and sales proposals
· support the running of the office
· network – we need you to 'spread the word' about SENS UK and why it is a long term, reliable and well funded organisation with whom clients can enjoy long-term relationships
What you'll need to succeed
SENS UK is a dynamic, entrepreneurial, well funded and fun organisation to work for. We need you to have:
· energy, enthusiasm, entrepreneurial thinking and bring positivity to the team
· analytical and strategic skills, and problem-solving ability
· a good knowledge of project management and reporting processes (e.g. Prince2)
· experience of project management standards and the quality assurance
· the ability to summarise results and present them to stakeholders
· excellent written and verbal communication skills
· excellent attention to detail
Above all, we need to you fit into an entrepreneurial culture: to bring energy, flair, flexibility, creativity and dynamism to help deliver SENS UK's vision.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a highly competitive salary, as well as excellent benefits package and bonus scheme.
You will secure a position which provides the true opportunity to shape and develop the position, support the growth of the organisation, and achieve outstanding results. The preference is for you to be based in the Cheshire, near Knutsford, partly from the office(60%) and partly remotely (40%), with the understanding that some travel is required.
