    Description

    Must haves:
    Database

    • Experience of supporting Enterprise IT Platforms on-premises.
    • Excellent Hands-on PostgreSQL skills including deployment, administration
    using industry standard best practices

    • Advanced PostgreSQL Backup & Recovery, disaster recovery skills
    including testing recoverability, recommend improvements for system
    availability.

    • Implement PostgreSQL High availability & clustering solutions, Standby
    databases (hot / cold) including binary streaming replication, cross site
    replication.

    • PostgreSQL DB Performance tuning & bottlenecks, collaborate and advise
    development community on code improvements (PL/pgSQL procedures,
    triggers, functions, views).

    • Optimize PostgreSQL identify query execution, explain plans, system
    efficiency using Postgres tools available.

    • PostgreSQL Monitoring using SolarWinds, VRops, PgAdmin, home grown
    scripts.

    • Excellent PostgreSQL Troubleshooting, resolving database related issues,
    corruption, system failures.

    • Manage PostgreSQL database security, permissions, user access control
    (groups &roles), authentication, auditing, vulnerability.

    • PostgreSQL networking, connection pooling (PgPool, PgBouncer)
    • PostgreSQL Migration strategy, data migration, upgrades, release &
    version management, PostgreSQL fixes & patching.

    • Capacity management overall reporting, PostgreSQL object storage
    management, system resources.

    • PostgreSQL Identify & Automate tasks with scripts.
    • Develop, Maintain Postgres documentation, configurations, procedures,
    check lists, highlight deviations.

    • Redhat - or other Distro exposure.
    • Scripting Knowledge, Bash, CLI , Terraform etc.
    • Ability to attain SC Level Clearance.
    Might haves

    • Good VMware vSphere experience.
    • Gitlab, Github, Ansible, Terraform or other automation and config tooling.
    • Oracle OEM tool.
    • Knowledge of Oracle E-business suite Database and applications
