    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

    The Stag are looking for hardworking, passionate, and self-motivated individuals to play a key role in our restaurant expansions. Candidates must have a proven track record of working within high-volume restaurants, exceptional customer service, and attention to detail.

    JOB BRIEF

    The Stag are looking for a self-motivated and skillful Head Chef with bags of enthusiasm and the experience to match. We specialize in all things chicken using the best British ingredients around. All candidates must have previous experience working in a very busy kitchen and love working in a fast-paced buzzing site.

    You will have lead control over all food that leaves the kitchen ensuring everything served is inline with the company and brand standards as well as responsibility for all aspects of food safety, HS, and COSHH inclusive of all allergy information.

    IDEAL CANDIDATE

    1. Proven experience as head chef
    2. Excellent and Innovative culinary and presentation skills
    3. Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
    4. Energetic with a passion to do a great job
    5. Able to manage staff in a calm, inspirational manner
    6. A forward-thinker who can prevent wastage
    7. Demonstrates a passion for food
    8. Team Player
    9. Excellent organization skills
    10. Numerate and computer literate with an understanding of financial drivers
    11. A clear understanding of profit margins, purchasing policy, budgeting, and food costing

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Head Chef will plan, organize, and direct the preparation and cooking of food ensuring that The Stag reputation for quality is delivered time and time again and in line with customers' expectations.

    Possess an exceptional drive for quality and innovation.

    Take full responsibility of hiring, managing, and training chefs and kitchen staff.

    Create 2 Weekly Rotas for all kitchen staff.

    Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities.

    Construct additional menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the offer.

    Approve every plate of food if in line with brand expectations before it reaches the customer.

    Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.

    Report maintenance issues and arrange for repairs when necessary.

    Remedy any problems or defects.

    Oversee the work of junior chefs.

    Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards.

    Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workers.

    Taking responsibility for the food production with a hands-on approach.

    Driving sales through consistently delivered products and in-house promotions.

    Responsible for all aspects of food safety, HS, and COSHH.
