Due to continued growth and a restructure, we are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician on a continental shift pattern of 4 on 4 off days and nights, for a well-established manufacturing company within the FMCG industry.

Plastics experience is very desirable.

As a Maintenance Electrician you will be required to undertake both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across our facility that will require you to hold a strong electrical background, however you ideally must possess a good grounding in the plastics sector within blow, extrusion, or injection moulding process.

Maintenance Electricians with robot exposure with high-speed robot machines are at a distinct advantage.
The package details for the role include a £50,000 + Paid Overtime salary.

Requirements for Maintenance Electrician:
As a Maintenance Electrician you will have the responsibility for Installing, Maintaining, and Examining all equipment on site. Time served Electrical/Mechanical Engineer
Previous experience in an FMCG environment
Working knowledge of maintenance systems
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and motor control circuitry.
Ability to work well within a team with a flexible approach.

Have completed an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship.
Qualified to NVQ level 3 in Electrical / Maintenance Engineering.
Have at least 3 years previous experience as a Maintenance technician within an industrial environment.

Be proficient in using their own initiative to identify electrical faults and carry out repairs on complex electrical systems.

Be proficient in reading electrical drawings and documents.
Be proficient in panel building and wiring including control circuits and motor starters.

Trouble shooting and Fault Finding on various machines including Injection Moulding Machines, Extruders, Grinders, Rotational Moulding Machines, and associated ancillaries.

Planned Preventative Maintenance.
