80,000 + up to 25% bonus (Senior Legal Counsel level)Hybrid working:
2-3 days in the office, the rest from home. This is a 12 months fixed term contract role (may become permanent).
From commercial contracts to major pieces of procurement, to regulatory and litigation, property, employment and everything in between, this is a varied and challenging opportunity for a commercial contracts based, mid-level plus lawyer.
The role is extremely varied with a strong commercial focus.Role includes offering legal guidance and support on a diverse range of projects and initiatives.
In addition to providing legal advice and support to the internal departments, you will also be responsible for engaging and instructing external legal counsel which may be necessary from time to time.
You will be accountable for providing timely, accurate and comprehensive legal advice, guidance and support to all Business Units within the organisation.
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts
Policy development and review in collaboration with business units
Monitor and provide advice on compliance with legislation, internal policies and procedures, and risk management matters over a variety of legal areas
Identify and mitigate legal risk for the organisation
You will be a confident and credible individual and day to day you will provide accurate and effective legal advice on a wide range of matters.
You will instruct external legal counsel as necessary, provide sound advice on commercial contracts and operational issues and assist with the management of any potential contractual disputes and litigation for the business.
In addition, you will be involved in project management and assist with the development, implementation and compliance, including training, of policies, processes and systems across the business.
My client is looking for a lawyer who wants to take ownership in building a legal function, having strong interpersonal skills who can develop relationships across an incredibly varied business.
The General Counsel places real importance on the career development of team members and you will be well supported in your role.
