    Description

    An opportunity has arisen within a small fast-paced export focused team, who are part of a major UK/European Defence Contractor Sales and Business Development department, for an individual with energy and a strong work ethic to fulfil the dual role of Bidding and Commercial Officer.


    Job Title :
    Bid and Commercial Officer
    Circa £45,000 depending on experience
    Stevenage (we may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
    Dynamic (hybrid) working : typically, 2 to 3 days per week on-site due, to workload classification. Some international travel will be required.

    The role of Bid and Commercial Officer at MBDA UK Ltd is a unique opportunity to join a world-class company in the defence industry.

    Provide Export Bid / Proposal Management including, planning, controlling, costing, pricing and documentation set.

    Challenge and manage all actions within a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver attractive proposals, collaborating with technical, engineering, commercial, procurement, legal, finance and customer support teams.

    Support contract negotiations and the preparation and negotiation of industrial agreements.
    Provide expertise in Terms and Conditions for domestic and export bids

    The role would suit someone with previous project management, export sales, bidding or commercial experience or the desire to develop these, having a general sales/commercial background.

    Commercial, Economic or Accountancy qualifications/background an advantage but not critical for the right person.

    Company bonus :
    Up to £2,500 (based on company performance and will vary year to year)

    Pension :
    maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%

    Overtime:
    opportunity for paid overtime
