    Description
    Senior Analyst, Corporate Actuarial

    They will have made progress through their actuarial exams and either have a working knowledge or be a willing learner of tools such as SQL, Power BI and R.

    Performing actuarial analytics relating to large loss and catastrophe events at the segment and division level to provide insights in to emerging trends and to assist with reserve recommendations .

    Assist with the reporting of analysis and results to the AXA XL Reserve Committees, Major Event Response Committee, AXA Group, rating agencies and other internal/external parties.

    Review, challenge and consolidation of the reserve analysis performed by the reserving teams across the division.

    Ensuring AXA XL actuarial reporting is compliant with the guidelines set by AXA Group and continuing to enhance reporting suite to meet internal and external requirements.

    Actuarial support for Major Event Reserve Committee in assessment and reporting of large man-made and catastrophe events.

    Business Planning:

    The Actuarial financial reporting team is a key contributor to the development of the AXA XL business plan each year.

    This role will contribute towards the annual business planning exercise, including reporting to the AXA XL Division and AXA Group management.

    This will include partnering closely with Pricing, Risk and Natural Peril teams to assess, challenge and communicate outcomes.

    Special Projects:

    Alongside your Corporate Actuarial responsibilities, you will also become involved in special projects intended to contribute to the development of the Actuarial Financial Reporting team which would involve development of processes or exhibits or focused investigations regarding new methodologies or assumptions potentially impacting the reserving analysis for all lines.


    Actuarial Experience:
    Established with relevant experience within the non-life insurance Industry, with a significant focus on reserving. Your innovative approach to problem-solving ensures the development and implementation of effective solutions.

    Business Partnering:

    Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the actuarial reserving process, as well as translate actuarial output to stakeholders.


    Planning & Organisation:

    Able to plan long term deliverables and ensure tasks are planned and completed accordingly and that any delays or complications are communicated early and resolved appropriately.
