Job Summary

We have an opening for a general practice surveyor to join our Estates Team in Property Services due to growth and internal promotions. The ideal candidate will be a qualified RICS surveyor with Registered Valuer status or the ability to obtain it. Responsibilities include valuing Council assets, handling landlord/tenant activities, and supporting overall estate services.

The successful candidate should have substantial experience in commercial valuation, particularly in a local government setting. In addition to the annual asset valuation program, duties will include various surveying tasks such as property transactions, landlord/tenant relations, and property advisory services. The role requires sound judgement, adherence to legislation, and alignment with Council policies.

We seek an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with strong teamwork skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work independently within deadlines. Customer service orientation, along with exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

RICS Membership with Registered Valuer status or eligibility to obtain it
Experience in commercial asset valuation, property leasing, development, transactions, and acquisitions
Outstanding written and verbal communication, organizational skills
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
Strong teamwork capabilities
