    Job Title: Sales Director

    Salary: £100,000 + Bonus

    Location: London

    The organisation we have partnered with is a thriving Sports agency, specialising in managing all aspects of Sports Sponsorships, working closing with global Brands and Rightsholders to deliver results.

    They are looking for an experienced Sales Director to provide leadership and direction to the Commercial department function. As the teams' senior-most sales leader, the Sales Director is accountable for overall sales performance, the profitable achievement of sales goals, and for aligning sales objectives with firm business strategy. Ideal applicants will be numerate, entrepreneurial and an excellent commercial leader who will roll up their sleeves to support execution, can think outside the box, plus ensure brand alignment and values are maintained.

    This individual will work closely with the Head of Partnerships to ensure new clients are planned, activated, and managed to the highest standards.

    The role:

    • Implement the agency's commercial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and market trends.
    • Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and nurture relationships with potential clients, including sports organizations, teams, leagues, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
    • Provide customer-based reporting to the sales and management teams that drive performance and decision making.
    • Establish and govern the sales organisations performance management system. This includes establishing guiding organisational principles for managing performance, establishing and prioritising critical performance measures for all commercial roles.
    • Oversee the equitable allocation of organisation objectives across all channels, markets, and personnel; ensure all key sales team members are held accountable for assigned results.
    • Lead and inspire a team of commercial professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
    • Provide leadership to the sales organisations management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behaviour
    • Accountable for the sales organisation support budget.
    • Lead sales organisation change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organisational change, championing change initiatives, and removing obstacles impeding organisational change.

    Skills & Experience Required:

    • In-depth knowledge of the sports industry, including understanding sponsorship trends, partnerships, marketing strategies, brand growth objectives, activation planning approaches and executions.
    • Extensive experience within the sports sector within Sales and Marketing at a senior level.
    • Deep understanding of all commercial functions including sales, revenue, marketing, digital and sales.
    • Experience of commercial negotiation including direct development of terms and conditions and problem solving.
    • Experience in developing and executing on sales and marketing strategies.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to direct, lead, train, motivate & drive teams and support the development an incredible culture.
    • Experience of working with third parties to execute marketing strategies and develop best in class marketing and sales collateral.
