London/Surrey - Hybrid

The Role

The Qualified Finance Manager will initially own the project of reconciling legacy balances across all payroll accounts until it is cleared and is BAU, approximately 6 months.

Upon project completion, the main role will be undertaken, i.e. Finance Manager,leading a team of team of 3-4 accountants, with a focus on financial reporting.

You will be responsible for the reporting, analysing, and monitoring of key financial processes to ensure the smooth running of the Central Functions.

You will be the person who understands, in depth, the organisational accounting operations, evaluating and managing risk, compliance and payroll processes & accounting whilst providing a unique perspective that looks across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

Review and implement best practice payroll processes across UK Group ensuring payroll accounts are fully reconciled each month
Reconcile legacy balances across all payroll accounts
Provide analytical, monitoring and reporting expertise on your financial performance
Be accountable for the accuracy of financial records, compliance, audit findings
Manage Central Services transactions
Manage all feeds into Onstream ensuring all group reporting is accurate
Understand the value drivers of the Central Services
Proactive identification, assessment and management of financial and commercial risks for Central Services
Communicate well with all level of employees (orally and written)

Experience and Qualifications

Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA - 2/3 years PQE:

Ideally from BIG 4 background:

Audit Manager experience:

Strong technical accounting
Financial reporting
Strong team management/leadership skills
Highly analytical
Process manipulation and improvement
Process adherence within central services
