    Pharmaceutical Health and Safety Specialist - Working From Home

    Full-time
    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Pharmaceutical Health and Safety Specialist to join our PSS Team* The purpose this role is to provide and maintain an effective and safe working environment that complies with environmental, health and safety legislation.

    The role will coordinate the PSS Safety Policies, Risk assessment processes and the PSS sustainability teams. This role will be based working from home with the expectation to visit client sites as required. Full time and Part time working options available for this role.

    We ensure a strategic, long-term service commitment that delivers value directly at the client' site, utilising their facilities, equipment, and methodologies, while maintaining the same service, expertise, and cGMP compliance available at the Eurofins facility.

    Coordination and completion of assigned EHS projects, supporting the development of sustainable, robust and compliant EHS strategies and systems with associated policies and procedures.

    Be a visible leader of EHS initiatives and drive in EHS forums/initiatives, as well as promotion of PSS EHS Culture
    Report any required Safety Metrics to Eurofins Sustainability Group
    Ensure that monthly safety audits of the site are performed (in accordance with PSS On-Site Managers)
    Perform risk assessments and audits across the PSS sites on a regular basis ensuring that all site activities are being managed in line with legal and corporate requirements
    Create, update and maintain all internal safety related quality documentation working procedures and standard documents
    Highlight training requirements and improve the safety culture through training and awareness
    Monitor adherence to company policies and check effectiveness of current policies that are in place

    Carry out PSS EHS inductions, manual handling and ergonomic training as required.
    Liaise with PSS managers to ensure the correct resources are made available to support particular projects as required.
    Achieve milestone objectives as agreed on projects assigned

    Promote EHS culture and awareness within the PSS organisation through participation and clear visibility and alignment on assigned project goals, targets and achievements.

    Advise management on Environmental health and safety laws, regulations and directives which affect the company and its employees.
    Participate in Environment & Sustainability Projects throughout Europe (where required)
    Reviewing and improving commercial work practices. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science related discipline
    At least 6 years' experience in a pharmaceutical industry GMP laboratory.
    Level 6 diploma in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety

    At least 3 years' technical experience in EHS and a proven track record of developing EHS compliance programs, with exposure to chemical and/or biological agents in the Pharmaceutical industry or related industry.

    Working knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation and regulations.
    Experience of chemical/biological agents risk assessment and occupational monitoring is essential.
    Excellent organisational skills and good commercial acumen.
    Passionate about quality and customer service.
