Description
Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the Data Center Power & Control Division Team in Reading, UK.
This position will direct the work of, support and supervise a team of frontline employees within the production Area.Responsible for ensuring that all output built meets departmental standards of safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, 5S and budgetary (tools, scrap, etc.) Ensure the team is trained to be successful in current role and make recommendations for any professional development employees may need.
Identifies individual performance opportunities and make recommendations for improvement while ensuring implementation of those improvements.Writes and delivers performance appraisals and makes recommendations for merit increases.
Coordinate with Quality Technician for engineering updates and employee training.
Cross training to work in other functional departments of the plant.
Ability to work all shifts, as needed.
5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to use MS Outlook, Word and Excel proficiently.
Working knowledge of quality control systems and inventory flow/control.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Concepts preferred.
The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where, in certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required.
