We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated paediatric nurse with substantial experience to assume the leadership role on our Children's Ward.
The selected candidate will bear overarching responsibility for ensuring the delivery of outstanding and secure healthcare services for our young patients and their families.
Ward 8 operates as a dynamic acute inpatient facility, catering to the healthcare needs of children spanning from birth to 16 years of age.
Furthermore, we facilitate collaborative care for oncology cases through our Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Unit (POSCU) and administer high dependency care within the unit.

Is responsible for leading and developing the ward nursing team and the ward administration and support teams by being a visible and strong role model providing leadership and direction to the team, capitalising on research and development opportunities, providing clinical supervision and advice for staff and students in order to support them in reaching their full potential
Is responsible for ensuring the productive operation of the ward through the monitoring and maintenance of standards that create a safe, clean and organised environment and by using processes designed to increase the time nurses spend in therapeutic contact with patients
NMC and HCPC)
Extensive experience working in healthcare with children and families
Successful completion of a leadership and development programme equivalent to the Internal Band 6 Leadership and Development programme.
Ability to Implement changes within nursing practice
Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures
Evidence of working at Band 7
