Design and deliver training workshops and courses within the community on a range of topics. Create training plans and schemes of work that meet the requirements of accredited bodies, adhere to best practices, and achieve quality targets
Utilize different teaching methods to engage learners and enhance their skills and knowledge
Adapt teaching materials and techniques to meet the needs of diverse learner groups
Collaborate with community organizations and partners to develop training programs that cater to the needs of the local community
Stay updated on current trends and developments in adult education and community work.
Establish connections between learning and opportunities in the local labour market
Monitor and improve course content to ensure effective approaches that help clients develop confidence, overcome barriers, and achieve successful transitions and progression
Experience in delivering training in a community setting to participants aged 16+ years up to retirement which enhances employability and promotes personal development
Strong knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and methods
Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to respond to the needs and interests of learners
A relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience
A passion for community development and promoting lifelong learning
Assessor/ Assessor award (A1, TAQA D32/33), or Level 3 Award in Education and Training or Equivalent (e.g. PTTLS, C&G 7307 or Equivalent Training qualification
In return, we are offering the successful candidate in the Community Skills Tutor role:
~ Hybrid working, 1 day a week working from home.
~ 4 days a week working from our Blackburn and Pendle hubs delivering.
~ Annual salary increment increases
~27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays
