Our client is a well-known Scottish brand with a reputation for quality, sustainability, and innovation.It has sites based throughout the UK and boasts a diverse range of high-quality products, encompassing multiple variations to meet the discerning needs of its domestic and international customer base.
The Group Finance Manager is a newly created role and will report into the Group Financial Controller.It is a critical addition to the finance function to ensure the effective management of the transactional finance function, as well as actioningaccurately and timely internal and external reporting cycles.
As Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the creation and management of an efficient shared services function - encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, treasury, and payroll.
This will involve managing a team of transactional finance staff – each with different specialisms - ensuring they fully understand processes and their role within the finance infrastructure and wider business.
Moreover, you will be responsible for running the month end, producing accurate and detailed monthly management accounts and supporting the year end, statutory accounts and audit process as required.
Finally, youwill be expected to develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (detailed above) and will be involved in finance transformation projects to ensure processes, systems, and controls remain fit for purpose.
Management of a talented finance team, supporting and developing as necessaryProduction of monthly management accounts including analysis and variance
Supporting the statutory accounts and audit process
Creation and leadership of the shared service centreto drive all key financial operations of the business
Managed shared services functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and banking
Good understanding of active projects
Support finance talent development and succession planning initiatives
Have experience working in a similar financial management and reporting role
Have experience designing, documenting, and developing good finance processes
Have strong MS Excel skills and an ability to handle large datasets
