Senior Software Engineer

EdTech

Location: UK (1 day per month in London office)

Please only apply if you have at least 3 years of Python experience in a backend-heavy capacity.

One of the top global EdTechs is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its core engineering team, working on its bespoke Learning Management system. The system is used by 10,000+ learners across the UK and US and offers an opportunity to work in a senior, autonomous team as the company continues to grow.

You would report to the Senior Engineering Manager for the Learning Management system with the client being around 750 people, with 150 in the engineering team, working in a lightweight kanban-like fashion. The team runs with low levels of bureaucracy, with each Senior SWE taking projects in the direction they want.

This company is also backed by some of the world's leading VC companies, moving to profitability this quarter.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Defining what makes a Senior SWE 'Senior' is always tough, but applicants should have 5 years of professional experience as a SWE.
You'd be using React and Django (Python) daily along with GraphQL. you should be comfortable with these tools and have demonstrable experience with them
You should have experience working autonomously and with a high level of responsibility for your work
Willingness to be in their London office around once per month
