Our vision at the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) isto make London a safe city for all.

The Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 established a Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for each police force area across England and Wales. In London, the elected Mayor – Sadiq Khan - is the occupant of the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).

MOPAC sets the direction and budget for the Metropolitan Police Service on behalf of the Mayor.

London's Violence Reduction Unit brings people across London together to better understand why violence happens and to prevent it now, and in the long-term.

The Mayor of London is establishing a new London Policing Board to support him in holding the Metropolitan Police Commissioner to account for reforming the Met. We are looking for individuals from across London's communities with a diverse mix of professional and personal skills, experience and backgrounds to become Board Members.
